为评价小眼井的规模经济效益,1998年在朝阳沟薄荷台油田进行42口φ178mm小眼井的区域推广性试验,该油田上部地层胶结疏松,下部青一段至泉四段地层微裂缝发育,易发生井塌、井漏。对原来小眼井钻井液进行了改进,经36口小眼井使用表明,改进后的小眼井钻井液封堵性及润滑性能好,防卡、防塌能力强,解决了该油田井漏、井塌的问题,与小眼井钻井工艺配合,提高了机械钻速,缩短了钻井周期,使小眼井钻井综合成本降低了11.7%。
