进入新时期,老一辈的锡伯族诗人继续保持着本民族优秀的诗歌传统,而在这一时期成长起来的年轻诗人在继承本民族文学传统的同时,借鉴并运用了中外现代诗歌的艺术手法,在表现手法上、取材上以及诗歌的精神内涵上都呈现出与其诗歌传统不同的特质。锡伯族诗歌在这一时期呈现出明显的现代性和多元性。
