在国际羽坛徘徊了四五年的中国羽毛球队,终于在有“小世界锦标赛”之称的第87届全英羽毛球公开赛上扬眉吐气.取得4金2银的佳绩。这是中国队参加全英赛15年以来取得的最佳战绩,其中男女单打同时包揽冠亚军,在全英赛近百年历史上也是空前的。 如此佳绩表明,中国羽毛球队已从低谷中迅猛崛起,步入收获的季节。 全英羽毛球赛汇集了世界各路精英,按奖金数虽被列为四星级比赛（共有6个星级）,但羽球人士对这项羽坛历史最悠久的羽毛球赛事仍十分看重。原因是这项比赛每每是当年世界锦标赛、汤尤杯和奥运会前的一次最大预演。如去年全英赛的5个冠军得主,在亚特兰大奥运会上,除混双冠军最后是银牌得主外,其他4项奥运会金牌获得者均为全英赛的冠军。
