此项目是一个改造项目。这栋建筑最初属于玛丽西牙儿精神康复中心的办公大楼,已废弃。这座办公大楼的旧格局是由三栋如雕塑般且颇具精致装饰艺术风格的白色大楼彼此相连组成。Egret West工作室将其底层和地下室改造成了一处新图书馆,上面的楼层则用作住宅,延伸至街角处的圣卢克大街。这座颇似“三只手指”的建筑,曲线柔美,打破了多数建筑的常规样式,与周围住宅街区里的格鲁吉亚住宅类住宅楼逐渐融为一体。从图纸上看像一粒药丸,极易让人们联想到远洋油轮,金属保护层打底的巨型雕塑般柱体,矗立在远洋油轮船舱甲板上,牢牢支撑着上方的悬臂式结构。
This project is a renovation project. The building originally belonged to the office building of Mary West Tooth Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center and was abandoned. The old structure of the office building is made up of three white, sculptural and art deco whitewashed rooms. Egret West Studios transformed its basement and basement into a new library, with the upper floors serving as residences and extending to St. Luke Avenue on the corner. This somewhat “three-finger” building, with its gentle curves, breaks the conventional style of most buildings and merges with the residential Georgian houses in the surrounding residential blocks. Looks like a pellet from the drawing, is extremely easy to remind people of the giant sculptured column of ocean tanker, metal protective base, stands in the ocean tanker cabin deck, firmly supports the cantilever structure above.
