面对我国生态环境的恶化和公众绿色意识的淡薄，北京作家协会郑重发出倡议，呼吁广大作家积极介入到自然保护和环境保护这一关系到人类生存的领域中来。据悉，这一倡议在中国作家协会第五次全国代表大会开会期间便开始酝酿，在第十九个植树节到来之际正式交本刊和《中国林业报》公开发表。以作家协会名义发出保护生态环境的倡议，这还是第一次。在此，我们对北京作家协会表示由衷的钦佩和赞赏。
Faced with the deteriorating ecological environment in China and the weak public awareness of greenness, the Beijing Writers Association solemnly issued an initiative calling on the vast majority of writers to actively intervene in the fields of nature conservation and environmental protection that are related to human existence. It is reported that this initiative began to be brewed during the meeting of the Fifth National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association and was formally published in the 19th Arbor Day and was published publicly by the China Forestry Daily. This is the first time that the initiative of protecting the environment has been issued on behalf of the Writers Association. Here, we express our sincere admiration and appreciation to the Beijing Writers Association.
