Introduction It has long been recognized that near-Earth nuclear explosions or ground-based nuclear explosions can produce Compton current densities to a considerable extent. This electromagnetic pulse source region can cause large electromagnetic transients to be radiated over long distances. Therefore, a complex electromagnetic pulse phenomenon code was compiled to calculate this electromagnetic field. Another notable issue is the coupling of these electromagnetic fields to the conductors that may be present in the source region.
