Long-term dying seaborne industry in the world, now has vitality in some areas, many shipping companies have re-tasted the taste of making money. Among them, the most profitable is a group of ship owners riding in asset trading places in Tokyo, Hong Kong and London. However, most shipping companies have not gotten rid of the bad luck. The phenomenon of excess global transport capacity is changing, mainly because of the significant reduction in new ships. Some industrialized countries, such as Japan, the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom and West Germany, no longer subsidized the shipbuilding industry. As a result, the cost of building new vessels rose sharply and orders for new ships were also reduced accordingly. The current shipbuilding capacity in Europe is less than 4% 20 years ago, and Japan’s ship orders in recent years have also been reduced by 50%. This is naturally good for ships in service. Of course, the sluggish seaborne industry is also affected by many other factors, such as the types of ships, shipping routes, transport seasons and currency exchange rates.
