美国最复杂、花费最大的公路工程——“大隧道”终于在去年12月31日在波士顿竣工。它把城市主干道埋在地下,避免了高架公路带来的种种弊端。波士顿“大隧道”工程的竣工,使当地交通更便捷,波士顿市容也大大得以改观。
The most complicated and costly highway project in the United States - the “Great Tunnel” was finally completed in Boston on December 31 last year. It buried the main roads of the city underground, avoiding the drawbacks caused by elevated roads. The completion of the Boston “Big Tunnel ” project made transportation in the area easier and the cityscape of Boston much improved.
