The etiology of systemic sclerosis (SS) is unknown. It has been reported in the literature that some occupations and other contacts may be one of the causes or closely related to this disease. The authors report two SS workers who were exposed to phenylenediamine in the same building by two chemical workers. Example 1. Male, 39 years old, chemical workers. In August 1981, during the process of discharging the meta-phenylenediamine, it had been exposed to the chemical because of three leaks.
