同志们: 很久以前,就想和你们做新闻工作的同志们谈一次话,我过去只和新华社同志谈过,和多数同志没谈过。谈到办报,我是外行,没办过报,没写过通讯,只是看过报,因此,你们工作中的甘苦我了解得不真切。但是,作为一个读者,我可以向你们提点要求。你们写东西是为了给人家看的,你们是为读者服务的。看报的人说好,你们的工作就是做好了。看报的人从你们那里得到材料,得到经验,得到教训,得到指导,你们的工作就是做好了。
Comrades: Long ago, I wanted to talk to my gay comrades who did your journalistic work. In the past, I only talked to the comrades of Xinhua News Agency and did not talk to most comrades. When it comes to running a newspaper, I am a layman. I have never done any report, I have never written a newsletter, I just read a newspaper. Therefore, I understand that you are bitter and uncomfortable in your work. However, as a reader, I can make a request to you. You write something for people to see, and you serve the reader.
