Chanson本来是“歌”的意思.直译就是“法国流行歌曲”,我们应该感谢那位将chanson译为“香颂”的高人.这种传神的译法将法国流行乐区别于其他流行乐的“色、香、味”特质巧妙地传达了出来。香颂起源于公元11世纪至13世纪的法国世俗歌曲.成形于1900年前后白钮法国“美好时代”。虽然它本身包含了民谣、地方小调、酒廊音乐等多种形式,但它们都有一个共性,即非常重视歌曲意境的拓展,这和法国人知风雅.解情味的国民性有关。浪漫的歌词配以缓和得如同心跳的节拍.制造出一种“干种风情.更与何人说”的意境,难怪如今许多酒吧纷纷以香颂当背景音乐。
