组织或细胞的再生,是由于残存组织和细胞增殖以补充损害的部分,使其形态和机能两方面恢复到原来状态。用大白鼠和小白鼠进行实验性胰腺再生研究的报道虽然可见,但可以说,人的胰腺再生是不可能的。胰腺形态上富于多样性,从解剖位置上难于确定有无再生,及有无腺房细胞那样可产生各种消化酶的高分化细胞等情况,故一般认为胰腺极难再生。高龄者的胰腺实质往往被脂肪或纤维所置换,生理上只能是胰腺萎缩,而不可能再生。但是,临床上根据各种检查证明有严重损害的急性胰腺炎,经过适当处置也可以挽救生
