稀点雪灯蛾[Spilosoma urticaeEsper)]自1980年以来在保定地区年年都有发生,一般未造成大的危害。但1989年5月底至6月上旬,全区270万亩麦套玉米普遍受到灯蛾危害,发生面积大、来势猛、密度高、损失重。据统计全区严重受害的面积达120万亩,一般虫口密度3—5头/m~2,严重的10头/m~2以上。涞水县13万亩麦套玉米有10万亩被吃光,全区毁种面积达40多万亩。
