痛灵栓由延胡索、柳枝等中药制成，其安全性试验表明，该药对家兔直肠一次接触给药，剂量相当于临床用量的53．6倍，无异常毒性反应，直肠多次给药也未见毒性，提示该药安全、低毒、无刺激性。通过豚鼠背部皮肤的过敏试验，提示该药为10％的弱致敏性。
Tongling suppository was made from traditional Chinese medicines such as Corydalis yanhusuo and switchgrass. The safety test showed that the drug was administered once to the rectum of rabbits at a dose equivalent to 53.6 times of the clinical dosage. There was no abnormal toxic reaction. The rectum was given multiple times. The drug also showed no toxicity, suggesting that the drug is safe, low-toxic and non-irritating. The allergy test of the back skin of guinea pigs suggested that the drug was 10% weakly sensitizing.
