小学语文抄写作业占有一定比例。从生字新词到课文片段都要抄写。特别是以字词教学为主的低年级。生字新词大量出现,学生抄写的任务十分繁重,以第一册课文为例,全书有222个生字以及由生字组成的数量可观的词语都要求学生抄写。这对一个刚跨入学校门槛的儿童,尤其是农村学生来说,是个沉重的负担。更值得注意的是,有些老师为了所谓巩固知识,一味地增加抄写遍数,每个词要求抄十遍、二十遍,甚至上百遍。其结果,加重了学生负担,增添了学生厌烦情绪,潦潦草草,任务观点,效果不佳。
