世界传媒经济学术会议(WorldMediaEconomicsCon2ference,WMEC),由世界著名传媒经济学家罗伯特·皮卡特(RobertG.Picard)教授等创办,致力于研究当前世界传媒经济发展中的经验、问题和发展趋势。会议每两年举办一次,通常由大学承办。2004年5月,在蒙特利尔的会议上,由中国人民大学郑保卫教授、中国传媒大学周鸿铎教授、清华大学崔保国教授、北京师范大学珠海分校麦莉娟教授、中国教育报刊社陈中原等共同组成的中国申办团,通过陈述、答辩和沟通,成功地获得了第七届世界传媒经济学术会议的主办权。2006年5月16日会议在北京隆重召开。这是世界传媒经济学术会议第一次在亚洲举行,也是第一次在发展中国家举行。本次会议的主题为:“传媒产业:全球化·多样性·认同”。
The WorldMediaEconomicsConference (WMEC), founded by world-renowned media economist Professor Robert Picard, is devoted to studying the current experience, problems and trends in the development of the media economy in the world. The meeting is held every two years and is usually run by the university. May 2004, at a conference in Montreal, by Professor Zheng Baowei of Renmin University of China, Professor Zhou Hongduo of Communication University of China, Professor Cui Baoguo of Tsinghua University, Professor Ma Lijuan of Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Branch, and Chen Zhongyuan of China Education Press jointly The Chinese bidding team successfully obtained the right to host the Seventh Conference on World Media Economics through presentation, defense and communication. May 16, 2006 meeting was held in Beijing. This is the first time that a conference on the world media economy has been held in Asia and for the first time in developing countries. The theme of this conference is: “Media Industry: Globalization, Diversity, Identity.”
