Pragmatic ambiguity is a kind of uncertainty between the formation and comprehension of discourse, which reflects the mutually exclusive meaning of “coexistence” in the inner structural system of human cognition structure. This article explores the various factors that triggers pragmatic ambiguity from three aspects: express-reasoning, cognitive context and perspective selection.
