What is a trademark? It is what people usually call a “brand”. It is a symbol of a commodity and represents the specific quality and reputation of a commodity. It plays a very important role in market competition. The “Champion” brand table tennis produced by the Guangzhou table tennis factory was designated as a special ball for the world table tennis competition in the 1960s. It is a best-selling, high-quality branded product at home and abroad, and it is in short supply in Japan and other countries. One day, Guangzhou Light Industry Import and Export Corporation suddenly received a lawsuit from Tokyo, alleging that the company infringed on their trademark special pole and demanded that it stop the infringement and compensate for the loss. How was it? Originally, because our import and export department did not register in the country of sale in time, the Japanese businesspeople had a hole in their hands and preemptively registered the “Champion” trademark. We are indignant and the other party is proud. The lawsuit alerted the State Department and an emergency meeting was opened for this purpose. Premier Zhou is also very concerned about this matter.
