天幕在舞台上是最后一道幕,很简单就是一块大白平布,根据舞台的大小高低,起码也得9米×18米,当然这么一大块布不可能是整块的,需要一幅一幅地拼起来。剧场一般都配置了天幕,由于太大,又是白色,难以清洗,难免发黄,被染污、破损等,因此每一个专业剧团又都有自己的天幕,在剧团演出自己使用时也难免弄脏被污染破损等,这样剧团在第二次排练新戏时,就把被污染的天幕用做制作布景用布,又买些新布来制作天幕,这样每次排新戏都得制作天幕。
