山西省长子县革命烈士陵园座落在长子县北关1华里的北高庙旧址,占地面积60多亩,是山西省重点革命烈士建筑物保护单位。陵园大门正中镶嵌着薄一波题写的“长子北高庙烈士陵园”9个遒劲有力的大字,陵园顶部的革命烈士纪念塔,系全城的最高点,历来是兵家必争之地。1945年9月,著称于世的上党战役的主要战斗北高庙攻坚战在此打响,太岳纵队司令员陈赓将军曾亲临北高庙部署作战方案,拉开了全国解放战争的序幕。
