Six years have passed since the International Conference on Population and Development in 1994. Unfortunately, the rate of male contraceptive use has dropped from 37% in 1987 to the current 26%. It can be seen that there is gender imbalance in contraceptive responsibility. The reason is that existing male contraception can not meet the current contraceptive needs.
