一位40多年党龄的老共产党员,退休之后,本来可以安度晚年,尽享天伦之乐,却毅然听从组织的召唤,挑起了革命老区扶贫的重任;一位年近古稀身患多种疾病的老病号,本来深谙养生之道,却常常带着一瓶瓶的药丸,跋山涉水,到偏远艰苦的革命老区走村串户。他没有想到会突然离开他魂牵梦绕的老区人民,他只想着还有许许多多的事要做。2013年6月14日,他却突然倒在了工作岗位上。他,就是随州市人大常委会原副主任、市老促会会长吴治炎。吴治炎的一生,是一本生动的教科书,是党员干部干事创业的一面镜子。他用70年的生命、退休后七年的坚守,为广大党员干部树起了一面为民、务实、清廉的旗帜。
