This article analyzes Jack London’s tragedies of life from three different perspectives - the personal beliefs, the atmosphere of the times and the meaning of life. Its deeper ideological roots are the bankruptcy of the “superman” philosophy, the bankruptcy of materialistic consumerism and the lack of ultimate beliefs. Has the deep connotation of sociology and philosophy of life.
