《全国水资源综合规划》已经国务院批复。到2020年,全国用水总量力争控制在6700亿m~3以内;万元国内生产总值用水量、万元工业增加值用水量分别降低到120m~3和65m~3,均比2008年降低50%左右。农田灌溉水有效利用系数提高到0.55;城市供水水源地水质基本达标,主要江河湖库水功能区水质达标率提高到80%。
