从工程实际出发，阐明ＥＷＭＡ用于制作工序控制图的原理和方法；通过时间序列的ＡＲＩＭＡ模型表明ＥＷＭＡ控制图的最优性质及其广泛适用范围（自然也有一定的局限性）；借助于实例说明ＥＷＭＡ控制图的简单制作步骤；最后，结合对经济控制图的研究，指出在自动检测的加工过程中，容易利用控制限的经济设计，进一步降低控制图的操作费用。
From the actual engineering point of view, the principle and method of EWMA for producing process control charts are clarified; the ARIMA model of time series shows the optimal properties of EWMA control charts and its wide application range (naturally has certain limitations); The simple production steps of the EWMA control chart; Finally, combined with the study of the economic control chart, it is pointed out that in the automatic detection process, the economic design of the control limit is easy to use, and the operation cost of the control chart is further reduced.
