2010年4月12日,江苏省太仓市举行“中国长寿之乡”授牌仪式,太仓成为中国第十二个长寿之乡。截至2009年底,在太仓46.72万户籍人口中,60岁以上老年人达11.1万人,占总人口的23.76%;80岁以上的老人1.84万人,占总人口的3.94%;全市平均预期寿命达81.52岁,远远高于全国平均水平的71.3岁;百岁老人74人,大大超过了7/10万的长寿之乡标准。太仓经济发达,经济实力名列全国百强县前十位,自此,太仓也成为长江三角地区第一个富裕型中国长寿之乡。太仓市位于江苏省东南部、长江口南
On April 12, 2010, Taicang City, Jiangsu Province held the awarding ceremony of “Hometown of Longevity in China” and Taicang became the twelfth township of longevity in China. By the end of 2009, among the 467,200 registered population in Taicang, there were 111,000 seniors over the age of 60, accounting for 23.76% of the total population; 18,400 seniors aged over 80, accounting for 3.94% of the total population; and the city’s average life expectancy amounted to 81.52 years old, far above the national average of 71.3 years; 74 centenarians, far exceeding the 7/10 million longevity standards. Taicang has a prosperous economy and its economic strength ranks among the top 10 in the top 100 counties in the country. Since then, Taicang has become the first affluent China longevity town in the Yangtze River Delta. Taicang City is located in southeastern Jiangsu Province, south of Yangtze River estuary
