American Institute of Aeronautics and astronautics held a series of celebrations to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Institute. As one of the activities, the Institute organized a group of experts and writers to look forward to the future development trend. The book titled “Forecasting the 80’s” was published in the joint magazine “Astronautics & Ae-ronautics” in July and August 1981 Publication. These outlooks reflect the breadth of the aerospace technology field, revealing the factors that have contributed to the development of various technologies and are of some reference value to engineering decision-making. All “Prospects” are divided into six major categories, a total of 42 topics, specifically: (a) macroeconomic management: economics, engineering management, aviation and space law, human society and aerospace technology; (b) aerospace systems and information systems : Aerospace Systems ~ *, Life Sciences and Systems, Navigation Systems and Technology, Missile Systems ~ *; Aerospace Communications and Electronic Equipment ~ *, Computer Systems ~ *, Sensor Systems ~ *; (III) Aerospace Science: Atmospheric Environment , Space science and astronomy, aeronautical acoustics, hydrodynamics, plasma dynamics, thermophysics, aerodynamics, aerodynamics, flight guidance and control. * (D) Aircraft systems: air transport systems, aircraft Design ~ *, aircraft operations, general aviation systems, lighter than air systems, vertical landing system ~ *; (E) propulsion and energy: air jet propulsion ~ *, electric propulsion ~ *, liquid propulsion ~ *, propellant and combustion ~ *, Solid rocket ~ *; aerospace power system, energy; (f) structure, design, testing and identification: design engineering ~ *, interactive computer graphics *, space materials processing; Learning ~ *, Structure ~ *; Flight Test ~ *, Ground Test and Simulation ~ *, Support System ~ *, System Effectiveness
