In order to understand the relationship between the dog’s tail and emotions, the researchers tested 30 mixed-race dogs. Each dog is placed in a specially designed cage with a video recorder installed to accurately record the swing angle of the dog’s tail. Then four different objects were brought to the dog in order: its owner, a stranger, a friendly cat, and a fierce dog. Each object will be in front of the dog for a minute, the video recorder will record the dog within a minute confronted by a variety of objects shown by the behavior. When appeared in front of them is their own masters, 30 dogs are happily shaking their tails, and the tail swing to the right significantly greater extent.
