不管在空气里,在水里,混凝土漿都能够結得跟石头一样坚硬。拌制混凝土最常用的水泥,是硅酸鹽水泥。这种水泥是用石灰石和粘土在旋轉窑中燒成熟料,再加入生石膏研成细粉制成的。它是一种混合物,里面含有:三鈣硅酸鹽、二鈣硅酸鹽、三鈣鋁酸鹽、四鈣鋁鉄酸鹽、氧化鎂、石膏等等。在水泥同水、填充物(砂粒、卵石)拌和成混凝土漿以后,水泥顆粒和水之間就發生了化学变化。水泥成分里的三鈣酸鹽首先溶解,变成含水三鈣鋁酸鹽;三鈣硅酸鹽遇水分解,生成含水二鈣硅酸鹽和氢氧化鈣;同时二鈣硅酸鹽和四鈣鋁鉄酸鹽也与水起了反

This kind of cement is made of limestone and clay in a rotary kiln to burn the clinker, and then added raw gypsum to a fine powder. It is a mixture containing: tricalcium silicate, dicalcium silicate, tricalcium aluminate, tetracalcium aluminate, magnesium oxide, gypsum, and the like. After cement is mixed with water and fillers (grit, pebbles) into concrete pulp, chemical changes occur between cement particles and water. The tricalcium salt in the cement component first dissolves and turns into an aqueous tricalcium aluminate; the tricalcium silicate dissolves in water to form an aqueous dicalcium silicate and calcium hydroxide; while the dicalcium silicate and the tetracalcium Aluminosilicates also react with water
