“匏 ” is the old name of “gourd ”, and 匏 device is a special handicraft that appears in the late Ming Dynasty. It was first erected by Liang Juegong, the eunuch of the late Ming Dynasty, and has been valued by the court since then. Kangxi Emperor Fengtai in Yingtai Park planted gourd, and send someone to manage, and Qianlong love Kangxi more than Kangxi, and even wrote a few poems on the theme of the first chapter. Today, it seems that the theme of “plaything” is deeply embodied both in the large imperial ornaments of the imperial court and in the small folk ornaments that are used by the people to support the cultivation of winter insects.
