Luminescence Immu-noassay (LIA) is a type of analysis method that detects the reaction of antigen and antibody by luminescence reaction. The general luminescent reaction is an oxidation-reduction reaction, in which energy is released in the form of visible light, and the light emissivity can be measured with a luminometer or a suitable instrument. Such luminescence assay has high sensitivity but poor specificity. Luminescence immunoassays are generated by the combination of highly sensitive chemiluminescent or bioluminescent reactions with highly specific antigen-antibody reactions.
