Neodrepanura, a famous trilobite fossil in China, has a history of more than 100 years of research but rare complete specimens. The specimen reported in this article was collected in Feixian County, Shandong Province. Its intact head and its 12 thoracic spines were preserved together with a very precious specimen belonging to the genus Neodrepanura premesnili (Bergeron). The number of thoracic sections is one of the important bases for the classification of trilobites. The discovery of this specimen again demonstrates that the Dameselloidea supercritical, belonging to the genus Leiostegina of the Corynexochida family, has 12 thoracic sections and includes two families: Damesellidae Kobayashi, 1935 and Drepanuridae Hupé , 1953. Kobayashi (1941) identified a trilobite specimen collected from the Tai’an River in Shandong Province as Neodrepanura premesnili (Bergeron), pik (1967) and the authors considered it possible to attribute the specimen to the Monkaspis genus of the Monkaspidae family, It should not be Neodrepanura of the Drepanuridae family. Since Drepanura, named after Bergeron (1899), has the same name as foreign insect Drepanura Schoett, 1891, zdikmen (2006) proposed a new alternative name, Neodrepanura.
