中国共产党在创建时期就十分注重对民众进行马克思主义理论教育。在这一时期,中国共产党将创办各种进步报刊和翻译出版马克思主义著作,广泛宣传马克思主义,作为马克思主义理论教育的重点;通过学习和运用马克思主义的基本原理,划清与各种非马克思主义的界限,作为马克思主义理论教育的关键;还通过深入社会向民众宣传马克思主义,号召他们团结起来为自身解放而斗争,作为马克思主义理论教育的根本。这些实践经验对于加强和改进当前马克思主义理论教育仍具借鉴意义。
