大学英语课程的设置既要体现高等教育的属性,也要适应社会和时代的特性,因为它直接影响着大学生的综合素质和职业的发展。因此,融合通用英语(EGP)与专业英语(ESP)不但凸显了大学英语的工具性,而且凸显了它的科学性和人文性。利于激发学生的英语学习动机。怎样融合通用英语与专业英语将深刻地影响理工类大学英语课程,改变教师的观念,推动教师的教学实践,提高教师的教学能力。
The setting of college English curriculum should not only reflect the characteristics of higher education, but also adapt to the characteristics of society and the times, because it directly affects the overall quality of college students and career development. Therefore, the integration of General English (EGP) and Professional English (ESP) not only highlights the instrumentalities of College English, but also highlights its scientific and humanistic features.
