番薯是本省的主要粮食作物之一,特别是山区和半山区,番薯在粮食生产中更占有相当的比重。据文成、温岭、象山、普陀等22个县(市)的统计,番薯种植面积占粮地总面积的20%以上,有的县超过50%。这些地区的生产实践证明,提高番薯产量对实现全年粮食高产具有重要的作用。解放以来,在毛主席革命路线指引下,我省番薯生产有了较大的增长,特别是无产阶级文化大革命以来,番薯重点产区的贫下
Sweet potato is one of the province’s main food crops, especially in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, and sweet potatoes make up a significant share of grain production.
