我们常常会畅想,山的那一边,海的那一边是什么,有什么样子的风景,这或许是我们行走的动力之一,到达后,才发现,那一方天空和水域同样长满了幸福和苦难,那里的人的喜怒哀乐,同样让人魂牵梦绕。在西太平洋接近地球赤道的地方——马来西亚东北角的仙本那海域有大大小小40多个附属岛屿,那里包容了奢华富裕与穷困潦倒两种截然不同的生活形态:在诗巴丹等著名的潜水度假村一带风光无限,是一个个梦境之岛;而另外一些小岛则是连片的贫民区,群居着一批终年漂泊海上的国际难民。他们在浅海珊瑚礁盘上搭建起简陋的水上木屋,成为世世代代赖以栖身的家园。他们没有国籍,没有社会福利和医疗保障,过着贫穷艰辛的生活。
