传统的观念是:跑步是达到高度健康水平的捷径。但,近来有人向这种观念提出了挑战,告诫人们走步是强身健体的最佳手段。我们当然不能因为有人在跑步时猝死就怀疑跑步健身的科学性,因为美国著名运动生理学家库珀早就做了权威性的结论,那种猝死的罪魁祸首不是跑步这项运动。本文无意贬低跑步锻炼法,亦不想比较跑步与走步锻炼法之优劣。姑且不论跑步锻炼法不失为强身的最佳手段,单就对所有的人来说,下决心练跑就不容易了。人不能说不聪明,但总有惰性。笔者相信,对大多数人来说,走步是一种很容易接受的锻炼法。在日本,每天走一万步的锻炼方式早在80年代初
