当代版画在经历了改革开放和时代巨变的洗礼下,传统版画创作的现实主义理念已经不能与高速发展的社会生活相适应。摆脱了现实主义的影响后的当代版画终于进入了一个崭新的历史时期。这一时期要求是创新和突破传统的模式,发挥创作版画的自由性,不再受到政治因素的束缚,在不断发展中获得独立的地位。随着社会的进步版画的价值也得到了越来越多的认可,而版画的价值有三点,第一点是版画的收藏价值;第二点是版画现代性中的文化价值;第三点是版画现代性中的艺术价值。
