陈文波的近期作品展现了当代生活的更多侧面,这些侧面也是他以往着重于呈现夜生活的作品中一度缺乏的。这种不仅跨越了不同生活方式、也跨越了个人成熟过程不同阶段的表现张力,在他整齐灵巧的系列绘画作品《球1》和《球2》(两幅作品均创作于2015年)中得以体现。《球1》描绘的是放置在实木地板上的一个健身球,而《球2》则描绘了三个充满气的气球,这些气球既可以作为夜总会的装饰物,也可以成为孩童的生日礼物。
Chen Wenbo’s recent works show more aspects of contemporary life, which were once again lacking in his previous works focusing on the nightlife. This tension not only across different lifestyles but also across different stages of the process of maturity, is also demonstrated in his neat series of paintings “Ball 1” and “Ball 2” (both produced in 2015) reflect. “Ball 1” depicts a fitness ball placed on a solid wood floor, while “Ball 2” depicts three filled balloons that serve both as a nightclub ornament and a child’s birthday present.
