2006年8月1日,是云南民族大学诞生55周年的日子。55年前的这一天,座落在昆明商山的原南箐学校志公堂里,举行了隆重热烈的云南民族学院成立及开学典礼。刚刚获得解放的云南各族人民深情关注着这个前所未有的新型学院,满怀喜悦地庆贺有了各民族团结平等的求知殿堂。首任院长、云南省副省长周保中将军在成立大会上慷慨陈词:“各族的学员在院中要树立团结、友爱、互助、互让,躬行实践和艰苦朴素的风气,学习马列主义、毛泽东思想,全心全意为各民族人民服务。”原省委书记宋任穷殷切地说:“民族学院是贯彻民族政策的组成部分,各族学员完成学习回去后,要努力为各民族人民服务,建设我们各族人民幸福美好的大家庭”。牢记着这些嘱托,云南民族大学栉风沐雨,滋兰树蕙,走过了半个多世纪的办学历程,培养造就了5万多名各民族建设人才。今天,民大人站在新的历史起点上,抚今追昔,瞻望前程,正以新的世界眼光,冷静思考并科学谋划云南民族大学新的征程。
August 1, 2006 is the 55th anniversary of the founding of Yunnan University for Nationalities. 55 years ago this day, is located in Kunming Shangnan Nanxun school Zhigong Tang, held a solemn Yunnan Nationalities University was established and the opening ceremony. The people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan, who have just been liberated, are deeply concerned about this unprecedented new college and are full of joy in celebrating the knowledgeable court with the unity and equality of all ethnic groups. The first president and vice governor of Yunnan Province, General Zhou Baozhong, generously stated at the inaugural meeting: “Students of all ethnic groups should establish a culture of solidarity, friendship, mutual assistance, mutual accommodation, practicing hardship and plain living style in their homes and study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and wholeheartedly serve the people of all ethnic groups. ”Song Renqiong, former secretary of the provincial party committee, said earnestly:“ The National Institute is an integral part of carrying out the ethnic policy. After completing their studies and returning to their homeland, all ethnic groups must strive to serve the people of all ethnic groups and build up our Happy family of people a wonderful family. ” With these exhortations in mind, Yunnan University for Nationalities, along with Mulu rain and Shilin Lushu, have gone through more than half a century of running a school and trained more than 50,000 construction personnel of all nationalities. Today, people from all walks of life stand on a new starting point of history, recount the past and look forward to the future. They are thinking calmly and scientifically in planning a new journey of Yunnan University for Nationalities with a new world perspective.
