《太阳照常升起》是世界级文学家欧内斯特·海明威最具代表性的作品之一。小说是以海明威在战争中的亲身经历为原型和基础进行的文学创作,反映了第一次世界大战后美国青年理想的幻灭和对未来的迷惘,被称为“迷惘的一代”的宣言书。大量运用象征手法来表现主题是《太阳照常升起》的重要特征。本文试图从象征手法运用的角度,对这部小说进行解析,以期更全面地领会作者的巧妙构思。
The Sun Also Rises is one of the most iconic works by world-class writer Ernest Hemingway. The novel is a literary creation based on Ernest Hemingway’s personal experiences in the war. It reflects the disillusionment of the American youth after the First World War and the confusion about the future of the United States, which is called the “lost generation” manifesto book. The extensive use of symbolism to express the theme is an important feature of “the sun rises as usual.” This article attempts to analyze the novel from the perspective of symbolism, in order to more fully understand the author’s ingenious ideas.
