Among the foundations of more than 100 bridge piers for the north bridge of the 702 bridge that is under construction at our site, most of them are caisson bases with a depth of 18.5-40m. Well-casing concrete is perforated with sections of 5-6m high. In order to counteract the lateral pressure of the concrete to the formwork, a certain number of tie rods (pairs of pull bolts) are required to be calculated according to the calculation. The average caisson depth is 24.5 meters, and each caisson needs about 1.5 tons of tie rods.
