丝兰俗称剑麻,与风尾兰相似,是百合科多年生的常绿灌木。它具有玉骨冰肌的风韵,优雅高洁的品格,独占艺苑风情。其花香虽不堪与兰花媲美,然其体态刚健,植株防污抗尘之强却远胜于兰。丝兰原产北美东南部,在我国北京以南各省区均有栽培。它四季常青,茎很短,全株高50～100厘米,叶在地面丛生,较狭窄坚硬、挺直、条状披针形,长40～80厘米,宽2.5～4厘米,顶端成硬刺。在我省一般是8～9月开花,花色洁白、下垂、层层迭迭,呈圆锥状花序,花梗长1～1.5米,
