二甲酚橙作为铁的显色剂有较高的灵敏度。ε_(550nm)=2.66×10~4,ε_(545nm)=2.57×10~4。但在该条件下,酸度的影响极为显著,一般缓冲剂均难达到要求,故难以实际应用。本文在乙酸-乙酸钠缓冲液中,对Fe(Ⅱ)、(Ⅲ)的二甲酚橙(XO)络合物和XO-十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTMAB)络合物的性质作了一些研究。证明在该条件下pH的影响较小,并当有EGTA,CTMAB存在时形成Fe-XO-CTMAB络合物,不仅改善了实验条件,还提高了选择性和灵敏度。方法可用于直接测定石英粉,纯硅及硅砖中的铁。
