Living in Rome, Alfredo Pirri, like other sculptors, deals daily with space and shape, but he hopes his works will look ethereal, light and shadowy, immaterial . His fantastic sculptures are made of paper, cardboard, paint, stucco, goose feathers and glass but with a solid skeleton beneath these clearly fragile materials. Works in much the same way as torn boxes; works hanging on the wall, with colors cast on the surface. The work is sometimes spherical, once again absorbing the reflected color, forming a light sculpture. Other works are like books on the ground cover, inside
