Editor’s note: On August 31, 2012, the “Amendment to the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (Draft)” was announced on the website of China People’s Congress and solicited opinions from the public. As of September 30, China National People’s Congress number 9582 people, the number of views of 11,748. The current “Environmental Protection Law” has played an important role in promoting China’s environmental protection work since it was piloted in 1979 and formally implemented in 1989. However, with the rapid economic and social development in our country and the tremendous changes in the environmental protection situation, the current “Environmental Protection Law” is exposed
