美国华厦园林公司是由雕塑家吴家松先生(原广州园林建筑工程公司副经理)组建的活跃在美国加州湾区的花园营造公司。美国加州湾区的城市群,由漫山遍野的独立式房屋组团构成。这些一至二层的小洋房,每栋都带有前、后花园。花园面积小则20-30平方米,大则在500平方米以上,宽阔而洁净的街道与花园、房屋连成一片,花草树木四季常青,争奇斗艳,是一个风景如画的花园式地区。笔者于一九九五年十一月赴美执行项目洽谈任务,在工作之余顺便访问了吴家松先生,参观了他的一些作品,据吴家松介绍说:当代美国人在他们对生活素质标准的要求中,将花园摆在房子之后,汽车、游艇及直升飞机之前的第二位的重要位置。许多美国人以拥有一座漂亮的花园引以为荣。他们在花园里聊天,烧烤、聚会、以至婚宴。因此,在美国,营造私家花园已经成为一个行业。为了加深笔者对当地园林状况的认识,吴先生引导我们参观了当地的公园以及东方花园,吴先生介绍说:由于日本园林较早被介绍到
The United States Huaxia Garden Company is a garden construction company active in the Bay Area of the United States established by the sculptor Mr. Wu Jiasong (formerly the deputy manager of Guangzhou Garden Construction Engineering Company). The urban agglomerations of the Bay Area of the United States consist of detached house clusters scattered all over the country. These one-to-two-story bungalows each have front and back gardens. The small garden is 20-30 square meters in size, while the large one is more than 500 square meters. The wide and clean streets, gardens and houses are connected to one another. The flowers and trees are evergreen and competitive. It is a picturesque garden-like area. In November 1995, the author went to the United States to carry out project negotiations. In the course of his work, he visited Mr. Wu Jiasong and visited some of his works. According to Wu Jiasong, the contemporary Americans demanded their standards of quality of life. In the middle of the house, the garden was placed behind the house, and the second important position before the car, yacht and helicopter. Many Americans are proud to have a beautiful garden. They chat in the garden, barbecues, parties, and even weddings. Therefore, in the United States, creating a private garden has become an industry. In order to deepen the author’s understanding of the state of the local garden, Mr. Wu guided us to visit the local park and the Oriental Garden. Mr. Wu said: As Japanese gardens were introduced earlier,
