The authors have shown that soft contact lenses can absorb a significant amount of chlorhexidine after they have been soaked and disinfected with bis-gluconate. Due to the different lens materials, this paper studies the absorption and desorption of chlorhexidine by hard contact lenses. The hard contact lenses used in the experiment were Polycon (Siafaco-nA) worn in the 1.8-2.4 kg white rabbit eye and required that the white rabbit lens never touch the mustard.
