今年是五四时代崛起的著名民族器乐作曲家、演奏家、音乐教育活动家刘天华先生逝世五十周年。西安音乐学院、四川音乐学院、湖北艺术学院准备作巡回演出,以纪念这位民族器乐革新家。全国各艺术院校及各文艺团体提出了整修刘天华先生墓地的建议。去年十月,参加中国音协、北京乐器学会举办的乐器改革座谈会的代表们,前往刘天华先生的墓地,瞻仰祭奠这位五四时代的民族器乐革新家。
This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Mr. Liu Tianhua, a famous national instrumental composer, performer and music education activist who rose in the May Fourth Movement. Xi’an Conservatory of Music, Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Hubei Institute of the Arts are preparing for a tour to commemorate this new era of folklore. Various art institutions and art groups across the country have put forward proposals for the renovation of the cemetery of Mr. Liu Tianhua. In October last year, delegates to the Symposium on Musical Instrument Reform organized by the China Music Association and the Beijing Musical Instrument Society visited the cemetery of Mr. Liu Tianhua and paid tribute to honoring the new pioneer of national musical instruments during the May 4th Movement.
