《中国手语》汇编明确指出:中国手语对促进聋人参与社会生活、提高自身文化素质、开展国际交流活动起到了积极的作用,满足了聋人基本的生产生活。统一手势是必要的,但最根本的是要让聋人形成和发展语言,提高正确理解和运用有声语言的能力,使他们更快地融入主流社会,成为主流社会中的一份子,这就需要运用书面语。而书面语的形成在当前的聋校教育发展中一直是比较艰难的任务,学生在完成小学毕业科目的学习后,仍然不能用流利的书面语来表达心中所思、所想,写不成一篇完整的文章。通过多年教学方法的探索,笔者从多方面论证了书面语教学的可行性,使学生在书面语的表达上有更大的进步,能够和正常人进行书面交流,懂得别人的语言,也能正确回答别人提出的问题,更好地促进交流。教师主要要做好如下工作:
